As we know photography is a very subjective thing.
All the photog’s you named are indeed very good but IMO most of them don’t use the quality of lighting that Rankin uses. That is not to say they are bad! But looking through the names, I just do not not see the variety that Rankin possess.
(Instead, I see lots of actions and PP)
Honestly, how this man can be considered a master of photography is beyond me. Anyone working in the fashion, portrait or advertising scene could name 200, possibly 400 better photographers.
If you really want to know how to photograph people try Julian Dufort, Larry Fink or Larry Sultan. And in the UK… Blinkk and Nadav Kander. For fashion the list is endless: Glen Luchford, Steven Meisel, Steven Klein, Nick Knight, Craig McDean, Mert and Marcus, Vincent Peters, Miles Aldridge……..
w.t.f … thats a bit mean …. i think hes a grate photographer and i know a lot of other artist …. ur comment is wronge by saying people who think rankin is grate need to learn more …. hes on of loads who are grate photographers.
